How do I load the tape roll into the Curby® Mini-Taper?

The BP222 tape roll fits into the machine's internal compartment. Once loaded, the built-in water brush will automatically wet the tape as you dispense it. Simply press the lever to feed and cut a pre-measured strip

Does the machine need to be plugged in before I can use it?

No, the Curby® Mini-Taper is entirely manual and requires no electricity to operate. It's ready to use straight out of the box.

How do I set the tape length before I start dispensing?

The machine has a clearly marked dial with 15 preset tape lengths to choose from. Simply rotate the dial to your desired length before pulling the handle.

How do I fill the water bottle, and how often will I need to refill it?

The water bottle unscrews for easy filling and holds 44 ounces (1.3 litres). Once filled, the two water brushes inside the machine will draw from it to wet the tape adhesive as you dispense.

How do I plug in and power up the machine, and does it matter which voltage supply I have?

Yes. The BP500 requires a 115V, 60Hz, 4-amp supply, while the BP500M requires 220V, 50Hz, 2 amps. Make sure you're connecting the correct model for your country's power supply before switching on.

Q: How do I dispense my first strip of tape and set the length I need?

The machine has 14 colour-coded preset buttons, each corresponding to a tape length between 6" and 45". Simply press the button for your required length and the machine will dispense and cut it automatically at 45" per second. If you're sealing an unusually large carton and need a longer strip, press and hold the Random key, which allows custom lengths of up to 120" (305 cm).
