Wheat Straw Pen

As SR Mailing’s first line of zero-waste stationery, this wheat straw pen has been specifically designed to tackle plastic pollution and to make 

use of left-over wheat straw from the harvest of wheat, this ethical stationery is sustainable and a planet friendly alternative to a basic black 

ballpoint pen. The pen is a traditional wheat straw plastic colour, blue with light brown speckles running throughout, resembling its uniqueness 

and demonstrating the sustainability. ‘Made from wheat straw' is written up the side of the pen adjacent to the clip and SR Mailing’s logo is 

printed on the opposite side of the barrel, both in a green font.

Being made from wheat straw plastic, this pen is effectively clearing up the waste from the wheat harvest and turning it into something usable, 

encouraging a zerowaste cycle and a circular economy. In comparison to the usual ballpoint pen, this wheat straw pen uses less energy to make 

nd does not produce as many co2 emissions. The fact that 80% of this pen is made from bio-plastics which are a naturally occurring substance 

also means that the plastic content in this pen is reduced from almost 100% to only 20% plastic! (Very nearly zero-waste!)
