Protecting items in customer orders when they are in transit to customers is a challenge – and while there are many packaging options, padded envelopes are an inexpensive, fast, and efficient way for retailers to get their orders packed and out to their shipping provider. Since many types of padded envelope feature a self-adhesive closure, additional time doesn’t need to be spent fixing the closure. There are several different types of padded envelope, including brown corrugated padded envelopes, padded bubble envelopes, and brown Kraft honeycomb envelopes.
Padded bubble envelopes have been a favourite with retailers for years because of their ability to hold a lot of differently shaped items, as well as their flexibility. With a paper outer layer and a layer of plastic bubbles on the inside, they are strong and resistant to tearing, and are available in a range of shapes and sizes. Despite the fact that they use plastic, SR Mailing padded envelopes are made from a combination of recycled Kraft paper and 100% recyclable LDPE, which means that as long as the layers are separated, they can be fully recycled.
SR Mailing have a range of completely paper-based envelopes available too. Brown corrugated padded envelopes are strong and resistant to both bending and tearing, making them excellent for items that need to be kept stiff. Our brown Kraft honeycomb envelopes are an innovative creation that uses paper for cushioning, which makes them better for people who suffer with dust allergies.
All of our paper-based envelopes are excellent in terms of sustainability, as they are made from 100% recycled Kraft paper, and are recyclable, biodegradable, and compostable – and using environmentally responsible packaging shows customers that the business cares. We think – as do many of our customers – that brown padded envelopes have a much more professional appeal to them too.Read full
